Look further down the page for information of how to upgrade from 9.0 to 9.3.

What do i need to do?

Before you can upgrade to 10.0, you will have to run a precheck of your existing 9.3 installation by installing PTF R160608D, you download that from here. Also, download the corresponding HTML document, which contains instructions on how to run the precheck. This PTF is also bundled with the actual release.

Userid and password for the FTP server is: FTPUSER/Downloads11

Once you have downloaded the PTF, you file transfer it over to the library BUENGPTF on your iSeries. If you don't have a library by that name, create it by running the command: CRTLIB BUENGPTF. Then follow the instructions from the HTML document you just downloaded. You can use these instructions if you are not familiar with using FTP.

After having run the precheck procedure and dealt with any possible problems, you can download the release 10.0 from our FTP server. You will find a zipfile in the directory support/oprs/oprs10. It contains 3 savefiles, the userguide, PTF 160608D and instructions for PTF160608D. The zipfile is passwordprotected, so make sure you contact us by Denne e-postadressen er beskyttet mot programmer som samler e-postadresser. Du må aktivere javaskript for å kunne se den. to obtain the password. Then you run FTP, and put the 3 savefiles and PTF R160608D in library BUENGPTF on your IBM i. (If you already downloaded and installed PTF R160608D you dont have do it again)  Then you follow the upgrade instructions to install OPRS 10.0.

We hope you will enjoy OPRS 10.0.

How do i get started with the upgrade?

Before you can upgrade from 9.0 to 9.3, you need to run a check of your current installation. For that you need to download and install a PTF. The PTF is called R120104A, which you can download from our FTP server. Make sure you also download the HTML document with the same name, it contains instructions how to install and run the precheck program..

Login to the FTP server with these credentials:: FTPUSER/Downloads11 The PTF is in the support/oprs/ptf directory.

When you are done with the precheck program, and any possible "problem objects" are dealt with, you can download the savefiles with the new version, and run the upgrade. Login to the same FTP server as earlier, you will find the two savefiles under support/oprs/oprs93. Make sure you create two empty savefiles in the BUENGPTF library, with the same names as the two savefiles you are about to download. When the two savefiles are downloaded onto your PC, run another FTP sesson, and transfer them both to library BUENGPTF on your iSeries server.

Instructions how to run the upgrade, you can read here.

We hope you will be satisfied with the new release of OPRS.
