OPRS Infocenter (Eng)

OPRS 9.3 is now available for all customers. This version contains several new and improved functions, and all fixes released up to date. Check out what's new in release 9.3 here.

Which release of OPRS do you have?

By looking at the top of the startmenu in OPRS, you can easily see what release of OPRS you are running. If you have version 9.0, we recommend that you upgrade to 9.3. If you have an older version, like 8.0, you cannot upgrade directly to 9.3, Denne e-postadressen er beskyttet mot programmer som samler e-postadresser. How do i get started with the upgrade?

Before you can upgrade from 9.0 to 9.3, you need to run a check of your current installation. For that you need to download and install a PTF. The PTF is called R120104A, which you can download from our FTP server. Make sure you also download the HTML document with the same name, it contains instructions how to install and run the precheck program..

Login to the FTP server with these credentials:: FTPUSER/Downloads11 The PTF is in the support/oprs/ptf directory.

Once you have downloaded the PTF, you file transfer it over to the library BUENGPTF on your iSeries. If you don't have a library by that name, create it by running the command: CRTLIB BUENGPTF. Then follow the instructions from the HTML document you just downloaded. You can use these instructions if you are not familiar with using FTP.

When you are done with the precheck program, and any possible "problem objects" are dealt with, you can download the savefiles with the new version, and run the upgrade. Login to the same FTP server as earlier, you will find the two savefiles under support/oprs/oprs93. Make sure you create two empty savefiles in the BUENGPTF library, with the same names as the two savefiles you are about to download. When the two savefiles are downloaded onto your PC, run another FTP sesson, and transfer them both to library BUENGPTF on your iSeries server.

Instructions how to run the upgrade, you can read here.

We hope you will be satisfied with the new release of OPRS.
